It’s Christmas time in the Town of Lamar!

In honor of the Town’s Sesquicentennial Anniversary, it is requested that you use the 1872 time period for your attire and decorations! Parade participants, Vendors, and Festival guests – let’s get in the spirit of when the Town was formed and pay homage to our predecessors! Ladies walking along Main Street in long skirts or dresses, men in top hats, long coats, cravats or pants with long-sleeved shirts and bolos – let’s “relive” our history! A prize will be awarded for the one most authentically dressed!
At 1 PM on the Main stage, there will be an opening ceremony. The festival will kick off with vendors, music, food trucks and more!
At 5:30 PM, the parade will commence on Main Street and will end at Lamar Baptist Church.
Vendors are asked to begin setting up at 12 PM.
Parade Participants will line up at 4:45 PM at Spaulding Middle School.
Chief Scott will have a command center at Town Hall for emergencies during the Festival.
In the event of bad weather or COVID-19 complications, all entry fees will be considered donations to the “Christmas on Main” foundation with a discounted fee the following year.
